IT Developer (ASP.NET) Part time, 3 days per week, 12 month contract Salary band £21,120 - £26,400 Pro rata, Rugby IChemE (Institution of Chemical Engineers) is a global membership organisation for chemical and process engineers with 35,000 members in 120+ countries. We are the only organisation licensed to award Chartered Chemical Engineer status and have offices in Australia, China, Malaysia, New Zealand and the UK. IChemE is looking for a professional, self motivated ASP.NET developer to work on a range of web-based projects to deliver online services to its global membership. Core responsibilities: Produce online systems that are documented (program notes, user instructions, database definitions, etc), well structured, tested and software compliant with department standards Support existing applications by resolving reported software issues and providing assistance to staff members using the software Complete tasks associated with the development of online systems e.g. data management, data migration, testing, reporting, etc. Required skills: Strong programming skills: Asp.net, web services XML, HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript C# OOP IIS configuration (ideally) A good understanding of database structures and SQL/LINQ queries Ability to meet required deadlines Ability to work with priorities assigned to each task and manage time accordingly Excellent communication skills, written and verbal together with documentation skills Ability to be innovative and create solutions to complex problems To apply for the post (CV and covering letter) or for further information, contact Helen Baldock (hbaldock@icheme.org) The closing date for applications is 20 July 2012 For more details about this and other vacancies at IChemE, visit www.icheme.org/jobs
