THE OPPORTUNITY: My client a leading blue chip organisation based in Nottinghamshire looking to recruit a Commercial Analyst with strong Pricing and Costing experience to join their pricing team on an interim basis with a possibility of the position going permanent for the right candidate. The initial contract is expected to last for c7-8 months. This is a great role for a commercially aware individual with excellent stakeholder management skills / experience. THE ROLE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provision of in depth analysis from a pricing / commercial perspective • Take ownership of the business case for reviews of existing propositions along with other commercial business decisions • Engage with the business to ensure robust input, critique and analysis of pricing and broader commercial decisions • Acting as the pricing contact for non-standard propositions • Take responsibility for ensuring business areas have appropriate levels of awareness around pricing decisions, principals and rationales using the information appropriately • Representation of the pricing / costing team and it's views on the work streams of key projects improving the operational activities or financial benefits • Support the customer forecasting and purchasing processes, hedging decisions and risk assessment analysis • Monitoring and analysis of competitor activity EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: Essential: It is essential you have excellent financial modelling skills with strong commercial acumen with an analytical and inquisitive mind. You will also have strong problem solving skills and the ability to engage and challenge stakeholders at various levels within the business.
