Social Media Analyst
IDG, the world’s largest information technology publishing company, has an opening for a Social Media Analyst with its Strategic Marketing Services (SMS). The SMS group works with IDG Clients across a range of services including consulting, custom integrated media programs, and social media marketing services. This position will be primarily focused on the management and the analytics behind our social media services programs. Responsibilities include: identify and manage bloggers for client programs, develop social messaging matrix and identify communities for our community threading programs, understand a range of social listening tools and how to leverage the knowledge for client programs, assist with the development and reporting on our growing portfolio of social media services. This is a temporary position with the potential of going permanent. Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess a BA/BS and 5+ years of relevant experience and have a basic understanding of the marketing research process. The successful candidate must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to solve problems and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be detail-oriented and adept at PowerPoint and Excel, and comfortable with presentation development. Knowledge of the media and technology industries as well as familiarity with social media research/tools is strongly preferred.
