Job Description: The GlassHouse Project is a London based marketing, branding and web design agency with a difference. We do not work to the traditional agency model of monthly management fees. Instead we invest in small companies and help them to grow online as well as partnering with medium sized high street brands who want to grow their online presence. The management team all worked together at a leading online gift retailer until we started the Glasshouse in February 2011. We are NOT just looking for any Designer. We are looking for a passionate individual who will grasp the opportunity to grow and shine. You should have an impressive portfolio showcasing great typography, different influences and pixel perfect attention to detail. Your will be assisting the Head of Design with day to day tasks that range from affiliate banner creation, email marketing, web design, print design - basically anything that the always enthusiastic marketing department throw our way. Still reading? Well this is the truly important bit. As a small company, our departments don’t sit in separate postcodes, we have an open plan and open communication office. We constantly have a multitude of different projects on the go so you will always be encouraged to come up with fresh ideas and designs. You will also have the opportunity to gain an invaluable understanding of the “behind-the-scenes” e-commerce world. When it comes to the design department, there are no egos, and if your concept outshines the big guns, so be it. Our aim is to produce great work TOGETHER. As a growing business, we can’t stress enough what a great hands on opportunity this is for the right person. Requirements: An interest in the World Wide Web – especially online shopping. Photoshop, Illustrator Highly organised with good attention to detail. Team Player with a sense of humour. A Self starter – you should be able to find productive things to do if no-one is around. Desirable: HTML, CSS and javascript. Experience in Final Cut Pro Remuneration: Travel and Expenses (circa £250 pcm).
