Supply Chain Manager (Jeddah)
Salary: £300 - £400 per day + Expenses Location: Saudi Arabia Job Type: Contract Role Description: The Supply chain manager will be a key member of the management team and will be primarily responsible to the Senior Supply Chain Manager for the successful delivery of Supply Chain functions. The position is based in Jeddah KSA along with Mecca where the Supply Chain manager will have a 'dotted line' report in to the in country Programme Manager for all Supply Chain functions. Responsible for Procurement, Asset Management, Supply Support (inc warranty returns and extended support) and Warehousing of the equipment for the project, the Supply Chain Manager will lead a small team in order to carry out this function. The Supply Chain Manager will primarily be responsible for working closely with our in country partner to ensure they are managing suppliers in terms of Procurement, Asset Management, Supply Support and Warehousing of the equipment. Desirable Skills * Ability to work with Customers and Sub-contractors at all levels. * Skilled to manage a whole Supply Chain for the programme with experience and evidence of success in the areas of: * Procurement - Supporting purchasing of all equipment for the programme to gain value for money working closely with our in country partner * Warehouse - Providing support to our in country partner's warehouse management and delivery of equipment on time * Asset Management - Supporting our in country partner for full management of assets by serial number throughout the supply chain. Also controlling CFE on behalf of our client. * Supply Support - Supporting spares and repairs and warranty returns from our customer to the OEMs and Suppliers * Based in Jeddah Saudi Arabia * Must be a Muslim for entry to Mecca * Must be excellent communicator with ability to work closely with customer, in country partner and suppliers. * Must have a background in continuous improvement with evidence of lean six sigma type improvement activity * Experience managing an oversees supply chain operation is highly desirable * Considerable financial management skills (past P&L responsibility desirable) * An engineering background and/or education is desirable * Arab speaker is highly desirable ***Due to the nature of this project and the location, applicants MUST hold a British Passport and be eligible to work in Mecca.
