Portal Developer Roles and Responsibilities: Develop multi-tier service-oriented architecture systems providing various web services to our clients. Design, develop, and test new WebSphere Portal applications and sub-systems. Define system implementation approach and operational concept. Determine systems specifications and input/output processes Perform requirements analysis, design, coding, unit and integration testing of software Develop thorough definition of system external interfaces Develop of software test scenarios Conduct software peer reviews. Develops and recommends corrective actions Provide technical guidance for software developers To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: BS in Computer Science or related field, equivalent combination of experience and education will be accepted. A minimum of 9 years’ experience in software development A minimum of 2 years’ experience in portal development using WebSphere Application Server and Portal/Portlets development Excellent oral and written communication skills. J2EE experience with knowledge of current web design principles and web application architecture. Experience with Understanding of SOA software development and architecture principles. Experience with UML object modeling, Software architecture, OOA&D Required skills in one or more of the following: SOA, Web services, Hibernate/IBATIS, and Oracle database technologies. SQL, Java, PL/SQL, XSLT, DHTML, XML, JavaScript Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: Experience with AGILE software development methodology Experience in consulting to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Knowledge of Medicare’s Waiver Management System and Medical Model Data Lab Clearance: Public Trust may only be needed once the candidate is on board Experience: 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
