Supply Chain Coordinator
Our client is an international organisation based in Haverhill, Suffolk. We are looking to recruit, on their behalf, an experienced Materials Planner to work from their busy and modern offices. After input to the monthly forecasting cycle/process you will create purchase orders to support the production schedules and demands. You will interface with Customer Service for updates and inform of possible delays. You will liaise with suppliers on purchase orders to ensure timely product delivery Other duties may be assigned. � Liaise with company operating units for timely fulfillment of orders. � Liaise with Contract Manufacturers to maintain a constant flow of product using different methods of ordering. � Use MRP generated reports for recommended actions to be taken using Min-Max, Planned Order Kanban and Demand Release methods to meet requirements. � Schedule and reschedule orders according to material availability. � Inform Customer Services of overdue or potential overdue orders, using the backlog report�s for company operating units. � Contribute towards ensuring that integration of new products and or organizations are done using best business methods � Analyse demand and make recommendations to management. � Review and maintain data integrity on material including BOMs, Routings, Item Master and lead-times. � Contributes to help improve material throughput and on-time delivery. � Analyse the demand and make suitable recommendations to the management � Review data integrity on material including BOM�s, Routing, Item Master and lead times � Help to improve material throughput and on-time delivery You will have previous material control experience or worked in a similar purchase/buying role, preferably gained in the electronics manufacturing industry. A highly effective communicator, you will be a customer focused team player. With a drive and passion to succeed, the successful applicant will ideally have previous experience of using Oracle or an equivalent system would be beneficial. You will also have good IT skills, in particular a sound knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
