12 month fixed contract with the likelihood of a permanent position Job role: The purpose of the Business Analyst is to provide accurate and meaningful data to the organisation to guide effective decision making and support the development of key strategies and opportunities The Business Analyst role is also a driver for change within the business with the job holder drawing on previous experience and knowledge to identify opportunities for the business to continually improve and streamline existing processes This position is of vital importance to the organisation. The Business Analysts need to deliver a high standard of service to internal and external customers. The data gathered and presented by the Business Analysts will enable sound business decisions Main Responsibilities                      As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for: Analysing and interpreting information from both within the business and external sources Effectively applying business and industry knowledge throughout all pieces of work to ensure analysis remains on track and meaningful data is provided   Creation of business intelligence models, to enable the business to work in a smart cost effective manner Consulting with key stakeholders to manage expectations and offer practical and creative solutions in spite of obstacles Clearly defining business/user requirements pro-actively offering opportunities to improve processes and enhance business performance Improving the quality of data and its structure to support the ease of future data gathering and its reliability Sharing knowledge with others to improve the level of appreciation, awareness and understanding of business information and data across company Effectively managing a portfolio of tasks and project work to ensure deadlines are met and interested parties are well informed of work progress and anticipated outcomes Providing input and resource to strategic projects Essential Skills / Experience A recognised qualification in statistics / analytics's or experience in these roles Knowledge of basic IT operations, processes and languages Clear understanding of data structure Experience of using / creating models to assist evaluation and improvement Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Intermediate working knowledge of Word and Excel Excellent time management Ability to produce financial summary's on various projects Resilient and determined in spite of obstacles Consistent attention to detail Enthusiastic and self motivated Please apply for a more detailed job brief Salary £35k - £40k 37 hours Monday to Friday Viewpoint Recruitment – we act as an employment agency / business in relation to all vacancies we deal with
