This large Insurance business is actively seeking a Finance Analyst for a period of 3-6 months to work within its life insurance division. The role will be working with the local and international life insurance function. Key Duties and responsibilities: The Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparation of the quarterly forecasting and planning of the US GAAP results for the Life segment, completing the end process for financial analysis, reporting, planning and forecasting. The role holder will require building strong relationships with Life management, actuarial and financial reporting teams to develop in-depth knowledge of the Life P&L and key drivers of forecast and actual outturn. This will include all areas of the underwriting P&L including expenses with particular focus for understanding/ articulating the direct expenses for Life. The role holder will be expected to provide challenge to Life management / actuarial teams in respect of forecast / plan submissions and provide detailed explanations of the drivers of change. The Financial Analyst will act as a principal point of contact for Life forecasting and planning queries from wider finance or the business. They will also assist the Europe FP&A team to complete the internal and International Life deliverables for month end/ quarter end, forecasts and plans and or assist FP&A team / Life management to complete adhoc requests where required.
