We are currently looking to hire for one of our clients. Description: - Reports to the Director of EPMO and Shared Services. - This position is responsible for working with project managers on several different initiatives to create work plans, track progress on work schedules, track budget progress and burn rates, keep plans up to date and publish results, create and present management reports on project outcomes and status. - This position will also be responsible for maintaining active project plans in MS Project and will be responsible for helping client associates to learn and adopt these technologies. - This position provides both verbal and written communications regarding project status, risks and issues. - This individual will work with customers to establish project scope, overseeing training and communications of the project management office, and making presentations on the projects to various audiences. - This individual will also ensure compatibility and consistency with existing architectural and enterprise standards and has the responsibility to assist departments and agencies of client in the implementation of significant projects as directed by the EPMO Director. Responsibilities: - Creates work plans for all projects undertaken by department PMOs using PPM tools developed by EPMO and adhering to EPMO established standards. - Maintains work plans, enters status and burn into the MS Project software. - Assists the EPMO with resource management and forecasting resource requirements and consumption - Creates management reports and presentations to keep senior leadership up to date on schedule, budget, and deliverable status. - Collects, organizes, and escalates project issues and risks. - Aids the EPMO and Director with creation of mitigation plans - Creates and maintains collaboration environments for the Procurement portfolio of projects, using SharePoint or similar software. - Responsible for creating and organizing project work papers for validation and compliance traceability (when required) - Facilitates meetings with department leadership team on project status and discuss project issues. - Facilitates meetings with project managers to collect status and discuss project issues. - Maintain and improve master program/portfolio plan in MS Project - Trains client associates on use of PPM tools and helps support PPM tool usage - Help on documenting policies and procedures to be used as best practice for firm-wide PPPM approach and methodologies. Required Skills: Special Skills - Business Acumen: Mastery skills in understanding the business, being agile and applying expertise in communication and working with diverse groups of people and skill sets. - Execution: Mastery of project scheduling skills and use of PPPM software (like MS Project, Project Server, and EPM Live) - Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to understand complex, multi-project environments and be able to quickly diagnose potential risks and issues. - Talent Management: Demonstrated capability to facilitate groups of senior resources, provide candid feedback, ability to train people on complex tools sets, and excellence in working in a highly collaborative environment. - Personal Credibility & Integrity: Demonstrated excellence in professionalism, professional communication, presence, a high degree of integrity, and willingness/strength to do the right thing in difficult situations. Licenses or Certifications: The following certifications are not required but very highly desired: - PMI, PMP certification - LEED Certification - CPIM and/or CIRM - Six Sigma or Lean Management Certification - Certification in accredited CPE courses in PPPM software systems Experience: - Minimum of 5 years of project management and/or project scheduling - Level of responsibility: - Required: Must have been primarily responsible for a multi-project program plan (from a scheduling perspective, not as the PM) - Industry experience: - Required: Experience working in mid/large complex and diverse environments - Desired: History working within a shared services or BPO organization - Geographic Scope: - Required: Ability to speak & write fluent English - Desired: Ability to speak/write Spanish Other: Software: Required: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Project and Project Server. Desired: Lotus Notes; SAP; SharePoint, Documentum Education: BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related Analytical field required.
