Job Requirement :- Position Title: Sr QA Analyst Location: San Diego, CA Employment Type: Corp to Corp (All Inclusive)/ 1099 Duration: 6 to 12 months (extendable based on performance) Start Date: Immediate Key Pointers :- 1) The candidate must have an experience in testing Java based applications. He/She should have an experience in automation using any programming language- Java is the one which is preferred of course. 2) A tester in hand on experiance in converting manula test cases to automation using Java/python/C#. 3) He/she should have done testing on a product which is used by consumers. Typically he/she should have worked in a company which has B2C (business to consumers) products. 4) Their communication skills should be spot-on and they should be able to talk authoritatively about their past projects. Client has rejected people on this basis in the past. Role :- Ensure product functionality complies with system specifications, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining test plans and test cases for specific areas of the system Responsible for thoroughly testing the product through all phases of development life cycle (Unit testing, regression/integration testing, end-to-end testing) Able to perform root cause analysis and provide a balance of breadth and depth of coverage for your testing areas. Develop and execute automated test scripts. Required to independently produce defect descriptions that rigorously quantify the problem to a high degree, identify the scope and impact of a problem, and conduct additional analysis to identify defect cause and scope. Responsible for scheduling your own time and quality completion of multiple tasks within a varying environment with changing constraints. Required to work with various cross functional teams to ensure issues are addressed quickly and with quality results. Required to communicate product readiness, level of quality, risks and results to Quality Assurance Manager and the project team. Skills :- 5+ years professional technical experience, preferably in software engineering or quality assurance Must be familiar with Service Oriented Architectures and security best practices Must have strong software automation experience and be able to evangelize to the team. Experience using automated off–the-shelf test tools - i.e., Test Complete /Selenium Experience writing test scripts, experience with JUnit Must be familiar with Object Oriented best practices in both programming and design principles (doing code reviews, unit tests, familiarity with SDLC, etc.) Experience with Java, Linux/Unix, monitoring tools such as Wily/Splunk is an added advantage.
