The Ruby Developer will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Ruby based products and manage the integration of multi-format, multi-sourced content. You must have demonstrated experience in developing Ruby applications in Rails or other Rack-based frameworks, a solid foundation in Computer Science, a focus on quality, and the drive to get something to work and then iterate quickly towards a solid product. Bonus points for accepted contributions to Open Source projects. You will work closely with product management and other developers to design, implement, and maintain new features and functionality on customer facing web applications and APIs, internal services, and continuous integration. This position is located in Bellevue, Washington. The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): Thorough knowledge of Ruby, Rails, Sinatra, etc. Proficiency with UNIX / Linux Experience with Ruby and other dynamic languages (Python, Perl, and JavaScript) Excellent software development skills with proven experience in building scalable web applications Demonstrated excellence in developing either web-based user interface; back-end software modules or both Strong verbal and written communication skills A BS degree or greater in Computer Science Engineering or related discipline 3-5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer
