Our client is a very successful financial company seeking an experienced Senior J2EE Java C++ Developer. This position is located in Wilmington, Delaware. Responsibilities include: Adheres to Application Engineering guidelines, processes and procedures and champions the use of these within teams, looking for ways in which to continuously improve them by researching emerging IT products, services, processes and methodologies Makes complex modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high level specifications, application support, and industry standards Participates in design for developing and integrating programs per written specifications Utilizes multiple programming languages and software technologies to ensure that applications are fit for purpose and are maintainable going forward Tests and implements cross-business applications Develops, trains, and coaches junior team members, including providing on-the-job training Leads a team of 5-6 To qualify for this exceptional opportunity, you must meet the following qualifications (required unless noted otherwise): 7-8 years of building J2EE and C++ applications Good working knowledge of Spring MVC, WebLogic, WebSphere and/or Tomcat Excellent technical, analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills Proven track record working as a J2EE Developer implementing or supporting mid to large scale applications Experience with using web based Java developer tools (both commercial and open source) covering the entire lifecycle including testing methodologies using various tools Experience in Visual Studio is helpful (team is moving applications from Visual Studio to J2EE environments) Proficient in recent Framework technologies with J2EE A team player with excellent communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels of business and technology management and ability to influence effectively Experience with User Interface (UI) Design exposure / experience is a big plus Driven self-starter, highly motivated Experience with Business Process Execution (BPM) is a plus; understanding Business Process Flow (like PEGA) Experience or exposure as a Lead is a plus
