Talented Unix Systems administrator required for a highly regarded Government organisation to work as part of a professional Unix based team. Your focus will be to ensure the timely delivery of functioning, providing operational and technical support activities and assist in troubleshooting issues to be successful in this Unix Administrator role you will have a background in Computer Science, related discipline and the following work experience: Strong Sun Solaris UNIX administration skills. Working knowledge of Linux and windows operating systems. Broad knowledge/Understanding of Infrastructure components including SAN (EMC, iscsi), Firewalls, Nagios monitoring, EMC Networker backup solution. Shell, Perl and/or Python Scripting knowledge. Basic Oracle DBA skills, SQL Scripting Experience working with Jira, RT (Request Tracker) in a CA:Gen ( Also known as Advantage: Gen, Allfusion:Gen, Cool:Gen, Composer, IEF) environment would be distinct advantage.
