Job Title: Sr. Security Engineer Location: San Jose,CA Contract: 3-6 Months Job Role and Responsibilities::::::::::::::::: Technical Skills: • IT Security basics (AAA, SSL, PKI, RADIUS, TACACS+, EAP, multifactor AAA) • Networking basics (TCP/IP, routing, switching, using packet sniffers) • Enterprise class applications and infrastructure (especially VMWare ESX) • At least one 3G (C, C++, Java) or script based language (Perl, PHP, Python) • Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and MS Project • Linux and/or Windows from a user and sysadmin perspective • Proven ability to systematically troubleshoot root cause of errors with little or no supervision. Soft skills: • Conscientious with a high regard to detail and quality of work • Highly ‘business aware’ • Pro-active • Self starter • Shows initiative • Keen to learn • Thorough, checks their own work and regularly asks for others input • Well organized • Excellent time management and task prioritization • Excellent written & verbal communication • Ability to negotiate and collaborate with peers and management/vendors.
