I need a Website Designed for a local private school (middle school). The current site for the school can be found at the following web address: thejeffersonacademy.com. However, I need something that is much, much more visually appealing and functional. As far as functionality is concerned I will need a calendar on the site (the current calendar is fine, however a more interactive one may be nice...one with which parents can schedule meetings with administration). If possible I would like parents/potential parents to be able to schedule meetings and tours with a separate calendar, as this will free up a lot of our secretaries time. The site should also have an Apply for admissions button or request for additional information button. The following are sites with the look, feel, and functionality that I am looking for. I obviously don't need all the bells and whistles that these sites have but I do need something that mimics its look and feel. If possible (not necessary) I would also like individual classroom portals to facilitate parent/student interaction on events, activities and student progress in the classroom. SITES I LIKE: archer.org (I like look and feel of this site. It is visually appealing and the site layout and design is beautiful) renbrook.org (although the rest of the site is not to my liking, the main page is great...I like the smiling faces which are full of energy! we need this type of look on our site. It doesn't need to be a slideshow (unless you feel that will add impact) but I think we need to have some high res. stock images of children (we do not have pictures as this is our first year)...Our school has programs serving 3yr olds thru the 8th grade. I would however eventually like to have a few pics of our campus...a beautiful 30 acre spread (if possible could we have a picture page. So students could upload pics onto site as we will be having a photography club) / (I like this site very much. It may be my favorite site of the bunch in many ways. It has a great deal of information presented in a clean, and simple easy to read layout. It is simple and functional. I like the drop down menu off the main page under the picture that reads "I want to become a teacher"...It seems like a simple form that just collects data while adding that extra level of professional polish to our image. (I would like to alter this menu to include titles like "I would like to become a substitute teacher" and, "schedule a tour"). I also like the video section of this site. The only thing I dont like about this site is that it looks like a university site (because it is). If we could alter some of the images I think it will be brilliant!
