Volt Technical Resources has a long-term position available in support of our client's Mossville, IL Plant for a Deployment Technician. Primary Position Objective: The Technician will deploy Mining Technologies to customers in the Americas. The technologies being deployed include: Command Dozing, Command for Underground, Fleet, Terrain, Detect and others. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform technical installation of a Mining System to include the industry's broadest suite of integrated mine operations and mobile equipment products in test environments. Validate and provide feedback on the technical procedures for product installation. Provide technical review of customer commercial agreements. Coordinate all technical implementation activities at the site related to which include: Arranging site network and GPS analysis. Providing server recommendation(s). Performing technical installation(s) of the products at the customer site. Validating the system features and performance. Providing project tracking and updates to stakeholders. Providing on-call support. Travel: Position requires 50%-65% travel. Much of the travel is to remote sites. Average time frame per deployment cycle would be 6-8 weeks. There is are estimated 6-8 deployments per person. Most of the system installations are above-ground mining applications, but there are few sites that will require an underground system implementation.
