Information Security Consultant - CISSP
The Information Security Officer serves as the point of contact for ongoing activities that provide access to and protect the confidentiality and integrity of customer, employee, and business information in compliance with organization policies and standards. For this role you should have 5+ years of experience in the information security field and hold a CISSP certification. Other certifications such as a GPEN, GCFA or similar are helpful but not required. Position Responsibilities: Serves as an internal information security consultant to the organization Documents security policies and procedures as defined by information security policy and current best practice. Perform information security risk assessments and properly documents identified security issues in accordance with defined company policy. Implements information security policies and procedures for the organization. Reviews all system-related security plans throughout the organization's network, acting as a liaison to the Information Technology group. Monitors compliance with information security policies and procedures, referring problems appropriately. Provides and monitors Information Security training and to all employees and affiliates to ensure proper information security understanding in accordance with organizational information security policies and procedures. Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to create information security awareness within the organization. Advises the organization with current information about information security technologies and related regulatory issues. Act as a Privacy Coordinator within the organization to ensure compliance with Internal and external regulations such as the Mass Data Privacy and Safe Harbor laws. Skills Windows and JAVA experience required. LINUX experience preferred. Education Bachelor's degree requires, Master's preferred.
