Individual will have experience with oversize truck transportation and logistics.. Candidate Preferences: Looking for a local candidate. • Prepare, issue and track requests for quotes. • Negotiate carrier rates to meet project transportation and logistics budgets. • Prepare carrier cost comparison documents and present results and recommendations to management for approval. • Prepare project specific contracts for carriers, working with the contracts team to ensure the interests are adequately covered. • Manage carrier performance reviews, engage carriers after contract implementation on commercial issues as needed. • Work with planning team to determine the optimal transport solution, based on risk, cost and ability to meet project erection timeline. • Provide Sales & Marketing team with pertinent trucking constraints on potential projects. • Produce transportation schedules for projects. Verify product is available to support the project deliveries. • Coordinate project logistics informational meetings with state, local authorities, PM, P&L, and carriers. • Interface with state and local agencies and carriers to assist with permitting issues. • Communicate with the project logistics coordinator to ensure the smooth transition from planning to implementation. • Participate in on site surveys, route reviews and carrier meetings as necessary. • Support regional Americas transport offices as necessary • Locate, review and qualify new heavy haul carriers as needed. • Conduct various transportation cost analysis • Experience in complex industrial operations and related transportation requirements • Extensive general knowledge of the transportation/logistics field • Project logistics experience preferred General Skills/Abilities: • Strong computer skills, especially excel • Detail Oriented • Strong financial computation skills • Ability to train and mentor team members Keywords: Transportation
