Two FireBird connections at the same time (C#)
I have two C# programs. (One of them is not mine, so I can't change it). They are both working with same .FDB database. (e.g. connect-do SQL stuff-disconnect) The problem is that when one program is using the file - another one gives an error ("file is used by another process"). I've tried to make a new user, tried to use OleDbConnection instead of standard fbclient.dll - doesn't work. It always gives same error. So I give up. Maybe someone of you guys can figure it out. I know C# has an opportunity to work with text files without opening them. Maybe there is something similar for .FDB databases, that would allow two programs to use same file. Can provide my code if needed. Thanks. Keywords: Programming, C#
