Material Manager Murray Hill, NJ The Material Management Manager will be responsible for the oversight and day-to-day management and execution of material scheduling, delivery and material related customer escalations in support of the client program. He/She will work as part of the Program Management Office to facilitate the resolution of material issues that are impacting deployment. Directly working with the field teams and parnering with multiple stakeholders across organizational boundaries to execute project related goals and milestones. Develops and maintains material management processes to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Objective is to take material out of the critical path to allow field teams to be successful. Reports directly to the Material Management Director. Key Functions and responsibilities: • Develop a complete understanding of the customer's business needs.• Develop schedules, identify any issues and develop strategies to resolve. • Establish and maintain effective communication with field deployment team, taking ownership of their material issues as your own. • Develop action plans to improve performance throughout the duration of the project/program.• Applies advanced principles, theories and concepts to achieve objectives in creative and effective ways. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.• Works independently toward predetermined long-range targets. Determines and pursues courses of action essential in obtaining desired outcomes.• Assisting Sales Team and Project Managers with customer relations and negotiations. • Develop material planning methodolgies to support effective day-to-day delivery execution. • Work with Delivery team to identify and implement Delivery process improvements. • Work with Customer and Finance to ensure successful invoicing and billing operations.• Development of reports and analysis of data to solve problems and resolve issues. • Attend project review meetings and contribute to the success of the project.• Maintain effective liaison with other departments. .
