Software Tools Engineer – Perl, Python, PHP We have an immediate opportunity for a Software Tools Engineer for our client, a large F500 company located in the Merrimack, NH area. This position requires a background in developing tools for the support of a large enterprise computing environment. The position is within an organization that provides operational support for a large scale, 24x7, multi-site server environment. Development needs range from creating back office automation to scale administration functionality, to creating data driven, interactive user interfaces for both operational tools and reporting environments. Some projects will be completely custom while others will involve enhancing or interfacing with 3rd party vendor products. Primary Responsibilities • Develop automation solutions for an enterprise class, large scale server environment • Develop web based user interfaces for interaction with automation processes and reporting • Management of data sources and feeds for web based user interfaces • Ability to deliver on deadline driven projects • Comfortable with managing more than one project at a time • Work within a standards driven development approach • Collaborate effectively with team members Qualifications: • 5+ years of web and database development • In-depth administrative knowledge of one or more primary operating systems • Experience developing solutions that work cross-platform (Windows, UNIX, Linux) • Experience integrating development projects with 3rd party enterprise management • solutions from vendors such as HP, BMC, CA, IBM, etc. Skills and knowledge: • PERL • Python • PHP • Oracle • MS SQL • SOAP • Web Services General Experience with the following: • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal • OS administration background with any/all: Windows, Solaris, AIX, Linux, ESX • Create technical design/specification documentation • Experience with formal source control tools/methods For immediate consideration please contact: Lisa UpStream Global Services Division Software Pundits Reply to: projects@upstreamgs.com www.upstreamgs.com
