Our client - a leasing ISP - has released a role for a Logical Design Engineer on a 3 month rolling contract. Taking a lead from the Team Leader or Principle Engineer, produce the detail necessary to enable various internal teams to implement and effectively integrate all new Network elements and services. Ensuring that all designs meet all specified requirements whilst remaining in conformance with established engineering guidelines. You will assist in the assessment of new architectural designs and then verify network solutions using design tools and test equipment. You will have a full understanding of all network elements and impact of failure or change. Provide recommendation and control of new projects (business and technical evaluation). Liaise with relevant departments in order to complete required Data Design activities. Candidates must possess extensive experience of ISP/Telecommunications networks, Voice and Core Data ideally to CCNA/CCNP Level, and also be proficient in Sun/Solaris/Linux administration. Candidates need to have familiarity of ISP software products to include DHCP/Radius/DNS/Caching and email platforms.
