Memory Makers Ltd have been making clay impressions of hands and feet for 12 years through the John Lewis Department stores and are now taking casts & prints through Mothercare. We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and reliable part-time Cast and Print Taker to work in Mothercare Nottingham and John Lewis Nottingham. Current responsibilities will be working 3 Saturdays every month, 2 in John Lewis Nottingham and 1 in Mothercare Nottingham. You will also be required to cover other stores in the area as needed for holiday and sickness cover. You are also responsible for cutting your clay pieces for the days printing and then drying and packing the prints and casts you have taken on the day to send them back to us for processing via our carrier. You will need your own car for transporting the kit to stores and a small amount of storage space for work equipment and the clay cutting and packing. You must relish work with children and babies which can be demanding but rewarding & have excellent customer service skills. An ability to manage time and work independently with minimum supervision is essential. Rates start at ??55 per day whilst training, increasing to ??65 when trained. We pay for your parking and a mileage allowance of 25p per mile. We pay a clay cutting fee of ??5 plus ??5 print packing fee plus 10p per piece of clay you pack. There are potential earnings of ??95 per day plus expenses with experience. There is also the opportunity of taking prints and casts outside John Lewis & Mothercare which are paid on a commission basis. In Mothercare you also earn a commission on unbooked customer sales. We are a small business and as the training can take up to 4 shop visits i.e. 1.5 months, we are looking for someone who can guarantee us commitment for a reasonable length of time to the position i.e. at least a year. This amount of time allows you to become confident and comfortable with the job and able to enjoy print and cast taking and gives us, John Lewis and Mothercare the continuity the role demands.
