Microsoft VB.Net Software Developer Perform real-world .NET development using both front and back end programming, utilizing VB.Net to develop Win F orms , ASP.Net, SQL CLR, and web services all built with intensive object orientated technologies. Job also entails writing some extensive SQL queries and stored procedures. Work will be done in a fast-paced environment and the position may require contributions to design sessions. In the end, the position requires delivery of superior quality solutions using smart client and web based software in VB.Net to support multiple clients. Tools Experience: ·          Visual Studio 2010 Professional (Smart Client ( Win F orms ), SQL Server CLR, ASP.Net, Web Services) ·          SQL Server 2008 R2   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ·          Modify and develop new software architectures at the direction of Company personnel to satisfy functional system requirements ·          Implement new designs in VB.Net and SQL Server 2008 using the existing extensive base classes already in place ·          Modify and develop new SQL Server 2008 stored procedures to support this system ·          Use existing designs and code as applicable to reduce completion time ·          Estimate completion dates for specific modules ·          Conduct softw are functionality reviews with Company employees ·          Change software as necessary to achieve the desired end-results ·          Install and release software to test and production environments ·          Correct defects as they are found by the testers ·          Provide support for new modules ·          Train other resources on software design and coding details in order for them to support the software ·          Provide support for new modules for a limited amount of time Education and Experience ·          Completed BS/BA degree in Computer Science but Masters preferred ·          6+ years SQL Server 2005 ·          6+ years .Net 2.0+ and VB.Net with Object Ori entated Design and Development e xperience ·          Self-disciplined to work without direct supervision This is a contract-to-hire telecommuting position with one of our clients (client will consider long-term contract if someone is only interested in contracting).
