Human Resources Consultant, Supply Chain (9 month contract)

Position Summary: In this position you are the primary HR support for the employees and management team of Canadian Tire's Distribution Centres located in Brampton and Vaughan. Reporting the AVP, HR Solutions you will be a member of a highly engaged and professional HR team. You will require your own transportation as this position requires travel to Supply Chain GTA locations as well our Home Office location for meetings. Position Accountabilities: Provide front-line consultation for employees and managers on a wide range of Human Resources functions including government and corporate policies and practices related to employment, performance management, compensation and benefits, and recruitment Work closely with the Human Resources programs teams to ensure successful implementation of HR initiatives and programs within Supply Chain business units including communication/education and facilitation as required. Work with business partners to effectively manage change including identification of implementation risks, impacts and mitigation. Identify opportunities and propose solutions for continuous improvement in HR initiatives, polices and HR effectiveness. Provide on employee relations matters includingsupport for managers with respect to performance management, facilitation of issues resolution. Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field. 4 - 6 years progress HR experience - preferably in distribution, manufacturing or retail environment. Proactive communicator with a passion for learning and understanding the operation and the people within your client group. Demonstrated ability to consult with business partners to determine their needs and potential solutions. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization. Experience using MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Asset(s): CHRP in progress Note: Some flexibility in work hours (including occasional afternoons and weekends) to accommodate multi-shift environment.
