Electronics Engineer?s position, which will be required to support System Operations projects.Position Requirements:Education/Experience:?Bachelor?s degree in Electronics or Telecom Engineering?Minimum of 10 years of knowledge of engineering concepts, principals, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system.?Experience working in an Enterprise Data Center with 24/7 availability requirementsGeneral Skill Requirements:?The systems encountered in this position are digital systems that monitor and control devices from the central stations. Following are some of the different types of systems that are part of the control center environment. Familiarity and experience with these systems is preferred:oMicrosoft Windows administrationoServer virtualization oSAN/NAS implementationoLanDesk for Windows system managementoRSA (Remote Server Access) Key serveroTACACS+oSCADA, AGC, and telemetry systems?MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook 2010?Added plus, would be experience in the following:oNetwork system designoOperation and maintenance of networks systemsoOperation and maintenance of Wide Area NetworksoMicrowave communication systemoFiber optic communicationsoNetwork operations center (NOC) experienceoCisco network equipmentoSolarWinds and / or Cisco Works?Possess a Valid State Drivers LicensePosition Responsibilities include but not limited to:?Work with Workload Coordinator on new work requests.?Support System Operations in the development of projects.?Work with planning, design, and operations personnel to understand their needs in developing and completing projects.?Test and develop procedures to publish for compliance.?Provide clear documentation for training purposes, after projects are completed. ?Report all project status updates to the Workload Coordinator, including the reporting when job assignments are complete. ?Represents System Operations in Technical Work Groups, such as Equipment Specifications, Maintenance Standards & Procedures, New Systems / Equipment Evaluation. ?Attend and communicate information from Technical Work groups to Team Lead in order to coordinate a group strategy. ?Work safely and demonstrate safety awareness practices to insure good environmental stewardship.
