Immediate long term contract opportunity (12 Months) for Oracle Developer with Direct Government Client in Raleigh, NC. Trigyn's Direct Government Client has a long term contract assignment (12 Months) for a Oracle Developer in Raleigh, NC. Description: Trigyn's Direct Government Client is seeking to fill a long term (approx. 12) month contractor Database Programmer/Developer position. The selected candidate will be assigned to teh IIS project. • Facilitate the interfaces between up to 30 source systems and the IIS, including writing interface extract files when source system support staff is not available. • Understand how data is mapped from source systems, through the Extraction Transform Load (ETL) process and into the IIS. • Build needed ETL process for importing data from source systems to IIS. • Help design and document interfaces and data mapping between IIS and the ODS (when it is available). • Understand and document how data maps from source systems to the various IIS reports and dashboards • Work with the OBIEE Dashboard developer to support dashboard development as needed. • Build database views or materialized views to support the IIS dashboards as needed. • Analyze database performance and work with the IIS vendor and ITS to design and implement database indexes and partitions to improve application and dashboard performance. • Tune SQL queries as needed. • Run custom IIS extracts and reports as required. • Design IIS Data Warehouse to serve IIS Dashboards and reports. • Using the SLI load file(s) specifications written by the Business Analysts, develop the data files that will be used to load the SLI data store. • Where possible, leverage the DPI Agency files that DPI source systems are creating for submission to MFTS. This approach will reduce the need for writing custom extracts from each DPI source system. • Transform data in accordance with the data transformation business rules to convert the data from the existing state to the state needed to support the EdFi standard and load into the SLI data repository. • Support the quality assurance testing being performed by the Business Analysts. Work with the Business Analysts to make modifications to the SLI load file(s) as required following the quality assurance testing activities. • Schedule the SLI load file generation and submission in accordance with the schedules defined in the SLI load file(s) specifications. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Required Skills & Experience: • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience working with Oracle Database products (including Oracle 10g and 11g) as a database developer, database designer, or DBA. • Minimum of two (2) years of experience using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to do Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) activities. • Minimum of one (1) years of experience integrating XML schemas in ODI and generating output in XML against these schemas. • Must have excellent SQL skills. • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with Operational Data Stores and Data warehouses. • Minimum of two (2) years of experience designing data bases using Entity Relationship Diagrams and tools such as ERWIN to document the database designs.
