Job Title : Tester Location : Johns Creek, GA Duration : 12 Months Client : Macys FACE TO FACE INTERVIEW IS MUST AFTER INITIAL PHONE SCREENING Primary Responsibilities - Review and convert Business and System requirements into positive and negative test cases and/or scripts. - Execute test cases and/or scripts, report and retest bugs. - Track individual testing effort. - Provide status to Testing Advocate. - Maintain testing issues and follow up lists as necessary. - Advocate quality and testing throughout the project life cycle. - Participate in bug review meetings including the assignment of Severity and Priority to bugs. - Rotates between multiple projects to fill specific testing requirements. - Escalates risks to Testing Advocate. - Execute system, regression, integration, and smoke testing Secondary Responsibilities: - May participates in code reviews and walkthroughs. - May participate in test sizing for testing efforts. - May participate in Stress and Performance testing. - May participate in compiling Release Notes. - May participate in feature and functional specification reviews. - May lead test case reviews and/or bug meetings. - May train other team members. Additional Instructions Skills - Demonstrates knowledge of quality control techniques, preferably in a Data Processing Environment. - Fluency in PC/Windows skills (i.e., Word, Excel and project management tools). - Fluency in PC skills related to quality control (bug tracking, test tracking, analysis tools). - Ability to manage time well, organize and prioritize. - Good communication skills, both written and verbal. - Strong interpersonal skills. Able to deal with difficult situations diplomatically. - Ability to effectively communicate ideas. - Posse and understand analytical techniques such as data modeling, process modeling, etc. - Adapt to wide variety of situations - Extremely detailed oriented. Must be able to repeat testing tasks multiple times without missing quality issues. - Must be able to utilize written documentation to quickly learn applications. - Ability to work independently with limited direction. EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or experience commensurate with a four-year college degree is required - Experience with HP/Mercury Quality Center is required - 5-6 years exp. in testing is required - Understanding of retail concepts is a plus - Mainframe testing experience is a plus
