At A Glance A fixed term Maternity cover role, for 9-12 months, based in Brighton. We are currently recruiting a Finance Manager for the School Ski/ Travelbound Business. These business are part of the Education Division, part of TUI Travel PLCs Specialist & Activity Sector. The Schools Ski Businesses form part of the EMEA Education Division currently comprising 20 businesses operating in several countries around the World. School Ski Businesses is comprised of 3 ski brands: SkiBound, SkiClass, HTS and with a combined annual turnover of c. £30m. EMEA Education forms part of the Specialist & Activity Sector within Tui Travel PLC. The role of Finance Manager would work directly on the 3 UK based businesses and would liaise with the local Heads of Finance in France and Austria. What You'll Be Doing * Balance sheet reconciliations Prepare receipts in advance reconciliations for all Companies, including investigation of reconciling items. Present to Financial Controller within 3 weeks of month end. Manage the bank reconciliation process to ensure that bank reconciliations are completed monthly and that reconciling items are cleared in the subsequent period. Present to Financial Controller within 3 weeks of month end. Release and reconcile hotel deposits, prepaid ski package and prepaid flights in all Companies. Manage and reconcile staff floats. Maintain control over balance sheet reconciliation's performed by other members of the finance team. * Profit and loss Work with Management Accountant to investigate and resolve differences when reconciling Travelink to SUN (for revenue and cost of sales). * Intercompany Ensure that relevant intercompany accounts are reconciled and settled in a timely manner. * Team supervision Implement procedures and processes to ensure best practice for AP/AR processing, and supervise the processing team. * Credit control Manage the monthly credit control process, generate reports and ensure emails/letters are sent on a timely basis. Provide a monthly update on the outstanding debtor position. * Ad-hoc Analysis Assistance in other accounting matters as required. What We're Looking For This is a key role within the School Ski Finance department. The role requires someone who is motivated, prepared to take the initiative and who is a good team player.
