Their new product allows our Client to perform in-house adaptation of existing titles across new handsets for all carriers, eliminating costly and error prone porting. Supporting smart phones that have evolving SDKs requires maintenance and our Client would benefit from SDEs who specialize in each platform. Although they have reduced the platform support to smart phones only, there are still 3 major evolving platforms. To keep their back catalog up-to-date as well as maximize their new social games - which will be working heavily with 3rd party SDKs (Facebook) will require software development. The Software Design Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing their internal tools and frame work specifically focusing on Android. Duties include balancing and enhancing games and framework, finding and fixing bugs in games and the framework and coordinating with other members of the team on development and delivery schedules. Experience developing and shipping multiple Games for Mobile Devices. Experience maintaining, debugging and leveraging large code bases and 3rd party SDKS for game development. Experience in writing technical specifications/documentation. BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience Preferred Experience includes: Advanced Programming skills using C/C++, Java, Object Oriented design and cross-platform development techniques. Experience designing and developing for multiple mobile handsets and screen resolutions. Experience with networked games, multi-threaded development, mobile networking technologies and network streaming protocols/standards. Experience porting software to mobile devices with limited debugging tools. Good communication skills.
