Marketing Business Analyst - SQL Queries Strong SQL Querying Skills Volt has a temporary position available with our Client in Redmond, WA for a Marketing Business Analyst. This position will be focused on the entire process, from the front-end through to the back-end. Position Description: The Marketing Business Analyst responsibilities will include: Responsible for the monitoring of the Database Marketing campaign files that are both outgoing and incoming. Data flows through multiple systems and it is vital that high quality be maintained. Daily reporting and communication of problems is essential to identifying chronic issues. Preparing and obtaining approval of documentation. Following standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Researching data and generating reports. Developing pivot tables. Creating and maintaining a standard set of queries against SQL Server databases. Creating and formatting SQL reports. Working with Program Manager to identify tasks and scheduling. Writing and running queries on multiple large databases. Performs complex design analysis, researches alternative approaches and performs cost/benefit/risk analysis. Performs highest level of analysis and acts as a consultant for other Systems Analysts. Ensures appropriate implementation of methodology. Delegates project assignments to others. Assists with prioritizing development requests. Provides input to Program Managers. Requirements: Required Skills for this Marketing Business Analyst include the following: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required. 5 or more years of work-related experience OR the equivalent of education and experience is required. Strong understanding of software architectures required. Must have advanced understanding of products, software lifecycle methodology and information systems development. Sound business-related skills including excellent problem-solving, team-building, judgment and decision-making skills required. Must be able to communicate effectively. Technical management skills are preferred. High attention to detail and the ability to write complex SQL Server queries quickly. Detail-oriented and a problem solver. Database marketing experience is desirable.
