Printer-Friendly CA Clarity Project Manager District Of Columbia, DC Compuware has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager in support of one of our government customers. In this role, you will work closely with other senior management to successfully manage, oversee, and deliver strategic initiatives and projects. You will support the portfolio and project management control processes of 50+ IT related projects. Your main responsibility will be supporting the project management office, other technical project managers, and the CA Clarity tool. Responsibilities include: Assist IT Projects Control Manager in management and control processes related to IT investments through use of portfolio and program management framework Support reengineering of business processes resulting from Clarity implementation Support continuing maturation of program/project management office in attaining processes identified in IT Capability Maturity Model assessment, and best practice standards identified by PMI Support continuing maturation of project change control process and integrate it with change control board process Create and administer documentation including project plans, issues lists, status reports, meeting agendas and minutes, and other artifacts Manage tasks associated with the project plan Participate in business process engineering to optimize processes, reduce risk, and improve efficiencies Understand business objectives as they relate to project goals Handle a variety of recurring and non-recurring or special assignments Create and conduct presentations to all levels of management Keep abreast of current developments and trends in areas of expertise Required Minimum of seven (5) years' experience as a Project Manager Have excellent organization and communication skills Have the ability to execute under accelerated timeframes Have the ability to quickly adapt to change in priorities Have strong written and verbal communication skills to all levels of the organization Have the ability to mediate and resolve project team conflicts, knowing when to escalate issues, keeping the goals of the initiative and customer in mind. Education Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field. Experience may substitute for education. Clearance Must be able to obtain a government issued clearance for the position. Proof of U.S. Citizenship will be required to be eligible for the clearance.
