The Senior Application Developer designs, builds, tests, and debugs code, interfaces, and software packages for use in managing customer master data applications within the application portfolio. This position exercises responsibility for the coordination, application and execution of established procedures related to information systems operations and for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of system output, assuring that such output meets user needs. This person will be responsible for applying technical knowledge, skills, and judgment to solve problems relating to customer master systems and other applications that use customer master data. Main Duties: * Provides technical support in the research and analysis of application stability improvements, requests and problems for internal users and external customers and vendors (users); provides assistance, advice, problem solving, and technical information to users regarding the use of software applications; acts as liaison with users regarding the status of their issues and requests * Support and resolution on complex application and technical issues including production related problems * Respond to requests and inquiries from users with in the pre-determined time frame of our service level agreement * Work directly with the company or client technology staff, and end users to resolve issues * Maintain, tune and repair applications in order to keep them performing to technical and functional specifications; performing preventative maintenance activities; providing user support * Work primarily on medium to large program segments or projects in one application area. Is assigned more complex programs * Configures & installs application software packages. Is the System Administrator responsible for the Oracle OCH/Siebel UCM application, including the following processes and functions - Enterprise integration manager Qualifications: * Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Business or related field, or appropriate technical training and/or equivalent job experience (2 yrs experience in Information Technology) * 2+ years experience with Oracle OCH or Siebel software, with minimum 2 years Oracle OCH/Siebel Administration * 2+ years overall work experience / 2+ years in application development * Prior experience in implementing and/or supporting Oracle OCH or Siebel systems solutions involving customer or product master data applications required - Siebel tools, task based UI, VB Script, eScript, Siebel Admin, Work Flow, EIM, EAI Integration, Personalization. Experience in a distribution / manufacturing environment preferred. Experience with Oracle DB required * Experience with Oracle PL/SQL * Siebel certification required * Demonstrated experience with Windows Server required. Experience with Unix preferred * Experience with OBIEE is preferred * Demonstrated experience with workflow-based technologies and applications. - required * Demonstrated experience with one or more enterprise integration technologies, such as Tibco, Webmethods, MQ series, etc - required * Demonstrated expertise with automated systems testing tools such as Compuware, Mercury, etc - a plus * Proven track record of delivering solutions using web-based technologies, i.e. Java / ASP.net, IIS or Tomcat, JBOSS / Websphere - required * Ability to manage work on multiple platforms & languages * Knowledge of waterfall, RUP, RAD, etc development methodologies * Good verbal and written communication skills
