TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking an IT Microsoft Engineer for one of our clients in Suitland, MD. This Information Technology Microsoft Engineer (Desktop Mgt) position supports the Department of Commerce, U.S. Census Bureau, Telecommunications Office (TCO) and Lan Technology Systems Office (LTSO) on-site. Job Description: Principal duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Follow procedures and quality controls to create the software package, advertisements, and collections so applications can be installed on newly imaged workstations. Create software packages; ensures that the configuration enables application to function properly with standard applications At least 4 years experience in Enterprise IT, two or more of which must be related to hands on experience with MS Active Directory, MS System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or similar projects Microsoft SCCM experience sufficient to create approximately 1,500 application packages Develop scripts to install software applications. Modify standard windows security template to meet security requirements and control access to the personal computer Manage patch management system to schedule and deliver operating system and applicationpatches and updates Manage inventory management system to gather hardware and software information on Census personal computers and laptops Install, configure, and update network client to provide connectivity to authorized network resources Participate with team members to implement new technologies and resolve customer needs and concerns Attend training sessions, workshops and/or conferences as either a participant or a presenter Attend meetings and provide detailed minutes regarding various aspects of new or existing systems, serving as an expert user Develop new and maintain existing Configuration Management documentation Develop technical documentation for creating packages and advertisements for complex applications when needed Provide tier 3 support for application issues for the newly created application packages TAD PGS, INC. specializes in delivering secure, reliable and rapidly implemented workforce solutions to the U.S. Federal marketplace, including U.S. Government agencies and their prime contractors.
