Procurement Manager - Swindon My client, a high profile oil & gas company, is looking for a Procurement Manager to join their team in Swindon. Description: Experienced Procurement Manager based in Swindon needed to co-ordinate sourcing activities being carried out by a team of Procurement Specialists (including stakeholder management, RFX activity, contract negotiation, cost modelling, supplier relationship management, forward planning) and P2P activities (including reporting, monitoring compliance and data analysis). Ideally someone who has an understanding and experience in transactional purchasing as well as category sourcing processes. Personality is important - someone who is able to challenge business users on topics such as process compliance, yet support business requirements collaboratively, is essential. We are looking for an individual to engage in the following activities: Participate in/lead the development and execution of sourcing initiatives. Develop and execute sourcing strategies in alignment with applicable market sector and commodity strategies. Understand the local business objectives and desired outcomes Engage internal customers, understand options and risks associated with sourcing activities Ensure superior supplier performance, negotiating commercial terms to deliver best value solutions, and the measurement/reporting of the value delivered. Identify opportunities for sourcing projects and savings delivery Provide advice to the team of European Procurement Specialists (UK, Belgium, France and Turkey) Accountable for: - Working with the relevant market sector and commodity managers to implement sourcing processes to ensure delivery of business plans and market sector/commodity strategies; - The development of sourcing strategies and sourcing plans in alignment with applicable market sector/commodity strategies and specific business objectives (both local and global); - Developing and maintaining knowledge of relevant supply market places; - Engaging the business and provide guidance on procurement process and risk management; - Manages supplier engagement and involvement; - Leading the full sourcing process which includes development of scope, supplier selection, commercial negotiation, and contract execution; - Executing contracts and ensuring that they are loaded to the contract repository - Provide on-going contract cost management and risk assessment; - Ensuring procurement processes are implemented, used and continually improved across the geographic scope; - Coaching less experienced procurement staff; - Participating in company networks, sharing information, best practices and lessons learned This is a fantastic opportunity, please apply for more details.
