We are looking for an au pair plus for a period of 2 to 4 weeks in August to look after 2 boys aged 2 and 3. We are looking for an english speaking person who loves children, is energetic, flexible and discreet. We would like you to join us in London on the 5th August. We will then all leave on the 6th August and go to France until the third week of August (exact date to be confirmed but returning between 20th and 28th August). We will be flying to the South West of France and staying in a rural location out there. If you want to get around on your days off then you will need to be able to drive (and have a valid driving licence). You will get access to a car. We require that you work 35hours per week with one day off. Standard working hours will be: 7am-10am in the morning and 3pm until 6pm in the afternoons although we require some flexibility. Duties will include getting the children up, dressed and breakfasted in the morning. You will then be required to play with them, prepare healthy meals and bath them. You will also be required to do light housework to include keeping the children’s bedrooms tidy, putting all their toys away, preparing meal, clearing up once the meal is finished and doing some of the children’s laundry. You will also be asked to babysit 2 nights a week. You must have prior experience with young children and checkable references. You must be energetic and willing to play a lot of football and tennis! You must be willing to “muck in” with whatever comes up. You will be required to have your meals around the same time as the children. You will be given a nice bedroom, a television, and access to wifi. You will also have access to a swimming pool when it’s not in use. The role will include full boarding and you will need to cook for yourself. We require that you are at least 21 years of age, a non-smoker, that you have prior experience with young children, checkable references and that you are able to travel to Europe. We will be interviewing selected candidates in London.
