PMO Support Manager
The client is a FTSE 250 company that employs 70,000 people in 50 countries, although most of their business is the UK and Europe. Using a balanced scorecard approach, a number of change programmes and projects are running to deliver the changes required to meet new strategic aims. They include projects in Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, IT and Finance However, robust project management had been lacking so a programme framework, including PMO, has been set up. The PMO Support Manager is responsible for maintenance of PM Methodology, maintenance of PMO tools and delivering training in method, planning and risk management. In addition they will take responsibility for: Implementing and delivering any programmes for improvement in line with identified and agreed business needs. Implementing new ideas and solutions to program issues. Management of Program Office to which all Divisional Projects are reported into. Main tasks Works directly with project managers and leaders active in programmes for business improvement aimed at improving profitability. Works in supporting any other projects as and when required. Assists in creating business plans and inputs for the sub function/divisional strategy. Is active in training staff in project management skills Works from the Program Office. Qualifications Educated to graduate level. Project management qualification Training on change management. Skills & experience Experience of working within or managing a PMO European experience and languages are a distinct advantage Skilled communicator, highly organised Proven Training skills High levels of integrity.
