One of the UK’s leading retail brands is currently recruiting for a Creative Desktop Publisher for their offices based In London. This role is a 12 month contract and is Responsible for the timely delivery of all desktop publishing (DTP) and publishing requirements for the International Brand team, working closely with the Artwork, International Communications team and Retail Academy teams. Responsibilities: · Development of a broad range of documents from the Internal Magazine to the Global retail training documents produced by the Retail team. · Responsible for delivery of DTP work, providing inspirational creative layout and showing clear understanding of the strategic focus of documents. · Managing the DTP workload effectively, liaising with cross-functional teams as necessary to update on work status. · Manage the DTP process to ensure pages are produced in line with the appropriate branding, are progressed through the sign off process on schedule and delivered ready for global distribution. · Continually reviewing the creative/layout aspects of Documents, making recommendations for improvements and progressing solutions as appropriate. · Developing and maintaining good working relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure involvement in projects as required and effective communications on project/work status. · Liaising with regional contacts as required, handling issues as required. · Managing and providing guidance to freelance support as required. · To actively engage with Company and Franchised Markets through Market and Store visits. Experience/skills: · Must be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint · Must be highly proficient in the use of Adobe Indesign and Photoshop · Highly proficient in Quark/ Photoshop/ Illustrator/ PowerPoint/ Digital Photography · Excellent planning and organisation skills · Project management skills, able to respond appropriately to moving or competing priorities · Ability to communicate effectively and confidently and influence at different levels · Good problem solving skills , particularly around intranet improvements and creative solutions · Team player with good communication and customer service skills · Excellent attention to detail · Strong DTP experience, preferably within a retail/commercial environment The ideal candidate will have a retail/commercial background, and will have experience of the above duties.
