This Level 2 Production support role, effectively performing as a development Business Analyst:- • is applications support, NOT infrastructure support. • is a vital liaison interface to clients and users, external and internal, brokers and vendors. • Works with projects or on projects and has BAU development involvement • is project dependant so there will be a need to do out of hours and weekend work • Involves diagnosis using system analysis skills. • Will suit someone from a technical background who isn't fully technical anymore. • Is not a traditional BA, requires BA skills but is more a systems analyst • Will do the diagnosis from the backend to the front end (1st level support goes from front end). Mandatory skills required to function in the role are: • SQL - this is a MUST HAVE for database interrogation, fix writing and data extraction ad hoc requests • Strong MS products knowledge ie. EXCEL, WORD and definitely ACCESS for presentation • Any SERVICENOW, will be an advantage • Any PEGA or JAVA highly desireable And the right person is..... • Someone who can think outside the square and passionate about production support • Someone self dependant, who can look and dig out problems and offer resolutions • Someone who can think on their feet, take owner ship of the problems. • Has good time management and good prioritisation skills • Able to understand whats been documented and translate that into solutions ie. What has happened and what should have happened. • MUST HAVE POWERFUL WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS. This is a Contract Role that ideally needs an immediate start and an ability to become productive and contribute to the team from the start.
