My client is seeking a Planning Analyst / Revenue Accountant with an Investment Banking Background to join the Planning team for a 3 - 6 month contract. Responsibilities: * Contributing to the design of forecast models and process, both top down and bottom up. * Building mainly Excel based forecast models and templates. * Reconciliation of large data sets between various offline and Online sources. * Production of financial analysis - e.g. margins analysis, income and balance sheet movement analysis. * Responding to ad-hoc requests for analysis ensuring data is complete and accurate and version is correct and understood. * Upload and download of data to the Hyperion planning system. * Deliver and demonstrate robust controls and governance around spreadsheets, process and analysis. The successful candidate will benefit from: * Strong Excel skills (formulae such as vlookups) and modelling expertise essential. * Demonstrable experience working within Banking in an income role is essential (NOT Costs). * Previous Essbase usage preferred. * Qualified accountant (or equivalent) * Must be able to demonstrate Analytical skills. * Attention to detail and good communication skills essential.
