An excellent initial 6 month contract for an Applications Analyst exists within our client's Peterlee facility. Reporting to the Business Transformation Team Lead the applications analyst will work in the Information Services department where the role will include Business Transformation and business support responsibilities. Job Description of an Applications Analyst: Working in values based environment, some of the responsibilities of this role are: Achieving Health & Safety Excellence Performing Applications support activities in relation to Change and Service Management Supporting the various Business Transformation teams as they prepare the business for new business processes and the implementation of SAP Documenting of IT rules and mapping processes Providing local support for their current System Developing Transactional Standard Work Handling requests for systems access Helping with support of web services Change Management and Service Management within the role of an Applications Analyst: Changes will be assigned and given target closure dates. Incidents and requests will be assigned and targeted for closure within the defined Service Level Agreement. Manage incidents and requests and document activities as required. Escalate calls within relevant times to Team Lead. Adhere to all Security, ITSM and CITA best practices and timescales. Identify repeating trends, known error fixes and use Problem Management to reduce recurring incidents.
