Social Media Race Game and Competition INTRODUCTION: The website is part of our online offering. We manage the Facebook page /ImperialSelect?ref=ts . We want to run a game/completion via social media which fans can Like and share. We have an in-house design team who've come up with the artwork: /june/race_game.html BACKGROUND: • We would like to launch a car-racing game within Facebook. We need to ensure that the game is unique. • The user will Like the Imperial Select page (Imperial Select: Real prizes & Great giveaways) on Facebook. • The user will race against a clock, steering with the keyboard (arrow buttons) and once 3 laps have completed the time is recorded and displayed on the timeline of the player's own Facebook page like: "Peter has completed the Imperial Select iPhone 4 race in 04:45:16 with a best lap time of 00:32:16. Can you beat him? Do YOU have the skill?" with an image of race logo. DETAILED INFORMATION ON ATTACHED IMAGES WHICH SHOW HOW THE GAME WORKS: 1.Users should be able to enter by clicking onto an image and registering to play the game. They register by Like-ing the Imperial Select: Real prizes& Great giveaways page. 2.They click on ENTER NOW! to enter. 3.They enter their details (name and email and a name and email of a friend/challenger which will generate an email to the friend) 4.They can select a car to race with. Car brand options are the 10 new car brands offered by Imperial Select: Kia, Hyundai, Tata, Ssangyong, Proton, Chery, Renault, Daihatsu, Foton, Zotye. We still have to add prices for the creative. 5.Once the car brand has been selected, a mini version of the specific car appears on the race page and keyboard functions are used to move the car over the track once the START button is clicked. While the race is carrying on, the times are displayed as follows below the track: CURRENT LAP: 1/3, 2/3 or 3/3 (this counts each of the 3 laps) TOTAL TIME: 00:00:00 (this shows the time in minutes, seconds and 1/60 seconds of total time) BEST LAP: 00:00:00 (this shows as 00:00:00 until the first lap is complete, then shows the first lap time, then after the 2nd lap it shows the best lap time) CURRENT LAP TIME: 00:00:00 (this shows the time of the current lap) 6. After 3 laps, the stop watch stops and their time appears on the Stop Watch page as Total Time (which is the same time that appears on the Leaderboard) and the Best Lap time. 7.The Leaderboard shows the 5 fastest total times. If the current user's time is within the top 5 times, he/she will be able to see it. There will be a prize of an iPad for the fastest total time clocked by 31 August 2012. When the user clicks "SHARE THIS WITH YOUR FRIENDS" it appears in their news feed. 8.The logo appears in the news feed with the message "[first name of participant] has completed the Imperial Select iPhone 4 race in [total time] with a best lap time of [best lap time].
