Multi-national Engineering Group based in Portsmouth require an experienced Financial Analyst to undertake a 9 month maternity contract. Reporting to the regional Finance Manager, the successful applicant will play an integral part in the financial management of several key clients. Responsibilities will include preparation of annual budgets including direct liaison with the clients to ascertain reasons for variance on previous year; monthly re-forecasting; risk analysis of any proposed service additions to existing contracts and contract profitability analysis. Applicants for the position must ideally hold a full accountancy qualification with previous management accounting and analytical experience. Demonstrable commercial and negotiation skills are pre-requisites as is the ability to communicate effectively with non-finance managers. Advanced Excel skills are also essential.
