Ref: 104/12 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (may be subject to extension / permanent vacancy) Skills Strategy supports the work of the Sector Skills Council by providing evidence based, qualifications framework and infrastructure needed to secure high quality education, training and professional development opportunities across the UK construction industry. This includes supporting major construction projects with a focus on health and safety, sustainability, innovation and future skills needs. Working as part of a small team you will manage a portfolio of projects within the area of industry structure, employment and training utilising a broad range of research methodologies. You will take lead responsibility for the development and management of research projects, surveys, data analysis, and research including the work of external contractors to time, cost and quality frameworks. You will have strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to articulate complex information in a structured format according to your audience. You will need to develop or already possess a detailed knowledge of the construction industry, construction employment and training issues. Professional membership and a background in research or data analysis along with project management experience are preferred however candidates with a good knowledge of and aptitude for research will be considered.
