Hi, I’m looking for someone with professional writing experience and credentials to write my granny’s biography. She has spoken about this for so many years and once or twice made a false start. Now she is elderly and I feel that providing her with a professional to help her in this task would give her great great comfort. While quality rather than price is the issue, I still wonder if you could provide a guideline of what it would cost for you to write her biography from scratch. From surfing the internet for the last hour I see that a memoir is going to be approximately 70,000 words. Is that right? It seems huge. Can you either use that length as a guideprice or else whatever you think. My granny has had an interesting life, emigrating from Ireland to the USA as a young girl. I won’t obviously bore you with the rest of the details. But although she is 80 (or more!!) she is in rude health and can talk forever!!! My granny lives in Healdsburg, California, but she also loves talking on the phone so it will not be a problem getting the stories down. As I say, the main reason Im posting this email is to have a ball-park figure and see what professionals are out there. We, her grandchildren, have all done well and so we thought we would club together and pay for this treat so all im after at the moment is a ball-park figure so that I can move this along and get the family OK.
