Job Overview: Our client are an established & leading manufacturer of aluminium profiles, are keen to secure a Product Development Engineer for a 3 month contract to enhance their team due to heavy workloads and new incoming work orders. As Product Development Engineer, you must have prior experience with strong engineering product design and good mechanical applications experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with DFMEA quality planning tools ensuring the definition, fulfilment and verification of product technical specification. You will have prior experience within the automotive manufacturing environment as either a Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Design & Development Engineer, product Development Engineer or a Project Engineer with good hands-on design experience. All Design Engineer applicants please see below: JOB CONTENT: � Identify and define the product technical specification based on customer, internal and regulatory requirements. � Utilise quality planning tools such as DFMEA and DVP to ensure product technical specification will be fulfilled. � Define sub-supplier and internal product technical specifications. � Work as a member of cross-functional project teams to develop new products and undertake continuous improvement to existing components. � Liaise with customers on a day to day basis to progress product engineering issues on a timely basis. � Visit customers to review engineering development progress and establish strong relationships with key customer engineering personnel. � Support launch activities by attending the customer assembly plant when required.
