aQovia is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their product and solution engineering department as an ASP.NET and Azure web applications specialist. As a software engineer, you will work in a small team and can switch teams and projects as our fast-paced business grows and evolves. As a senior engineer you will be expected to mentor junior team members and act as the engineering lead for one or more projects. We need our engineers to be versatile and always eager to tackle new problems. With your technical expertise you manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables. You design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. Minimum qualification, skills and experience - At least 2 years experience designing, building and testing large scale web applications using the Microsoft .NET platform. - Solid understanding of the Microsft .NET framework especially ASP.NET<[URL removed] Web Forms, MVC, Razor, Windows Workflow Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation, Linq and ADO. - Advanced programming experience in C#. - Relational and NoSQL database design. - Strong understanding of Internet systems, web technologies, W3C standards and guidelines. - Commitment to agile software development methodologies and practises such as eXtreme Programming (XP). Desired Skills & Experience The ideal candidate will have: - MSc or PhD in Computing, Software Engineer or related field. - Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. - Experience with XML, XForms, XSLT and XQuery. - Experience with developing and deploying applications for Windows Azure. - Experience with developing custom applications using the Orchard CMS. - Commercial, consumer-oriented web UI experience. - In-depth knowledge and experience of the software development lifecycle.
