Sr. QA ENGINEER (Test Automation) JOB DESCRIPTION: Our direct client is looking for an experienced automation QA Engineer with strong java, test framework development skills and in-depth knowledge of QA processes and tools and a passion for quality who can work with developers, PMs and testers. The position will be based in Phoenix-AZ. Job Details and Responsibilities: As the Sr. QA engineer you will design, develop, automate and execute test cases for front end and backend features of the SOA based product. Working with product managers and developers you will pro-actively improve the test coverage. Troubleshoot and isolate issues, file bugs and work with developers in resolving them. Basic Qualifications (must have): 1. 5+ years of strong whitebox-QA experience: critical thinking, design/develop/automate quality test cases by interacting with PM and Dev, work with dev to get defect resolutions 2. Strong in Java programming language 3. Strong experience in developing backend automation (REST/SOAP web services testing) test suites using JUnit or testNg framework. 4. Strong test automation experience for web applications using the Selenium tool 5. Strong knowledge in different Browsers, CSS locators, XPath 6. Experience with LINUX/UNIX 7. Effective communication skills (verbal and written) Desired Skills : 1. Experience with Agile methodology. 2. Experience with code coverage, static analysis tools 3. Ability to work on multiple projects, with multiple teams 4. Experience with relational databases - Oracle preferred or MySQL Education : BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent).
