Please let me know if you would be interested in this position THIS IS AN URGENT POSITION AND INTERVIEWS WILL BE ON A FIRST COME BASIS Location: Allen, TX or ROC NY Positions: 2 Duration: 6 months+ Position Detail: Integration API - Java Developer Develop and maintain integration solutions between a legacy iSeries AS/400 environment and our Websphere Process Server Enterprise Service Bus. The ideal candidate will have a strong integration background, familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture and Object Oriented Design, and significant Java experience. Knowledge of JBoss, Apache, CVS, Ant, and iSeries development is a plus. Previous telecom and/or DPI specific experience would be beneficial. Summary Apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. Designs, develops and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications. The technical skills include the ability to apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required. 5-7 years experience required. Responsibility level Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor. Skills and Competencies Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one's time. Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue. Knowledge of computer hardware and software. Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to systems, such as SQL, Visual Basic, etc. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities Modify existing databases and database management systems. Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions. Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
